Justine and Simon celebrated their Jewish wedding in Italy in the Sinagoga di Firenze.
The Great Synagogue of Florence is possibly the most beautiful synagogue in Italy and one of the largest in Central Europe. The interiors are stunning with exquisite mosaics and gilding. It was constructed in the late 1800’s. The style is Moorish, truly spectacular.
Without a doubt Justine and Simon remain one of our favorite couples of the year! Simon’s sense of humor will be missed and Justine’s always cheerful emails were a pleasure to respond to.
Justine and Simon first flew to Florence to meet with us to choose their ideal Italy wedding location. After visiting a variety of venues they fell in love with Villa la Vedetta, which was taken over exclusively for 3 days of celebration. Villa La Vedetta is a small, luxury boutique hotel with possibly the finest, all-encompassing views over the roofs of Florence. And direct views of the Synagogue as well!
Prior to the wedding day we organized a BBQ at the villa – an informal get together for everyone to relax and get to know each other. The perfect way to ease into a destination wedding in Italy. Distinctive Italy took care of all details from floral décor and lighting to activities, beauty services and more. It was an elegant yet relaxed celebration.4

I know Villa Vedetta cater for many weddings, however all the staff made us feel special for the entire weekend. As you know our decision to marry in Florence was decided by the beautiful synagogue. Rabbi Levi, exceeded our expectations on the day, and he arrived with a big smile & sense of humour! The service was beautiful and our guests totally blown away with the synagogue. The service was for me the most important part, and I feel honoured and blessed to have been married in such a special place.
The flowers exceeded expectation on every level, truly beautiful.
I am so grateful to Bonnie & Luca and I will miss the daily emails & planning. The entire weekend ran to perfection, with their true professionalism and expertise. Nothing was ever a problem, and I never wanted to be a Bridezilla!!!
